This document contains detailed instruction on how to install CRX using the default or custom installation process.
This document contains four major parts:
Beginning the installation procedure, which is the same for standard and custom installation.
The standard installation procedure.
The custom installation procedure.
Finishing the installation procedure, which is the same for standard and custom installation.
Installing CRX under UNIX
This guide covers only the installation on Windows computers. CRX comes with a UNIX installer that follows the same steps and offers the same options as the Windows installer. To start the UNIX installer, type “./” followed by the name of the installer. For example, type “./crx1-2-0-20060202-developer.sh”.
The installer uses the PATH environment variable to locate a suitable Java Virtual Machine for the installation. If the installer cannot locate the Virtual Machine, you can override the PATH setting by using the following command to start the installer:
./[installer-sh] LAX_VM [path-to-Java-executable]
